Meeting Baby Kaylee

Yesterday I had the pleasure of going to meet my cousin Mark and his partner Cariad’s new baby girl who they have called Kaylee. This was very exciting for our family as we haven’t had a baby in the family for 8 years and even before that there are only two other Great Grandkiddies for my Grandmother.
Anyway, here she is, she is so precious and just beautiful.

Just gorgeous hey.

Thanks for looking guys.

A couple of quick ones from me

I can’t believe that I actually managed to do some scrapping on the weekend and I was even happy with the result. Both of these layouts came together really quickly.

This first layout I have done using the “Just Enough Kit” that I purchased from Teina Cummings.

This next layout was for a challenge at The Stampshak’s October Cybercrop.

I have just uploaded a heap of Melissa Frances Page Kits and embellishments to the Auction Site which have been signed and all proceeds from these auctions will be donated to Breast Cancer. So if you want to grab a bargain and help out with a good cause why not take a look.

These kits are gorgeous, so don’t miss out.

What’s going on this week

I can’t believe we are up to #9 of Project Scrap-away already, the girls have all done such awesome jobs with there layouts every week making it so hard for the other members of the forum to pick a winner. If you want to check out some of the entries then check out the Project Scrap-away Gallery. You are able to leave comments even if you aren’t a member, so please support all the girls who have worked so hard over the last 9 weeks. There is only 2 more weeks to go so they need lots of moral support.

Yay, it is only 2 weeks to go until Warana. How excited am I about this retreat, I am really looking forward to meeting some of the new ladies and also catching up with all of the past retreaters. We have Kylie flying in from Central Coast NSW along with Jaimie. We also have Sandyb flying in from Melbourne. I am definately looking forward to catching up with my ole friend Sandy, it has only been about 6 or so months since I have seen her I think and I can’t wait. If you want to find out what when on at Warana after we come home, you can check out the new Warana Blog which we have set up so we can tell all our stories of how much fun we had. Also don’t forget to check the blog for all those Warana snap shots.

Not much else going on for me at the moment other then starting to get ready for Christmas. Now hasn’t that come around really quickly. It is only about 6 weeks away.

Anyway that is it for me today, I will catch you all later.

Scrapchat mentioned in SM Mag

I am so excited today. I received my Scrapbooking Memories magazine in the post today and while I was flicking through I came across the article that has been written by Kayla MacAulay and at the bottom of the page I had to look twice, there is actually a little bit written about Scrapchat. Well I almost died of shock, I had to read it over and over again.

So thankyou Kayla, I really appreciate your little plug for Scrapchat.

Not to much going on in Gypsy’s World

There really hasn’t been to much going on in my world atm. My job is going great, I opened and closed the shop all by myself for the first time and that went ok. Christie has asked me to teach a card workshop next month doing Christmas Cards so I am keen to give that ago. This weekend is our Annual Pink Ribbon Lunch at Crystal Resort, so I am looking forward to that but other then that, there’s not to much to report.

I did the draw for the $50.00 worth of scrapping goods for the Craft Exchange and I am happy to announce that Lizzy is the winner. Congratulations Lizzy, well deserved hun. I think Lizzy has spent enough on the Craft Exchange to cover all of us.

So until I post again.

I have been a bad blogger…

I have been a really bad blogger lately, spose it doesn’t really matter though as not many people read my blog anyway.

It has been a little busy of late with Project Scrap-away now up to week 7, you know what that means, only 3 more weeks after this week to go. Woohoo I am so excited to see who wins, the tally is really close at the moment and it really could be anyone’s game. So good luck to everyone who has entered and is still in the running.

Scrapchat is also now up to 183 members which is awesome. Not all of them are active but that is still not bad. When it reaches 200 the forum will be closed off to new members and unfortunately due to costs of running the place from then on it will be one out, one in. So if you have been thinking of joining in you might want to do it soon so you don’t miss out.

I am so loving my new job at Seriously Scrapbook, Christie really is an awesome boss and I think we get on fairly well. I will also be teaching a card workshop in November (eeeekkkkk) no I should be ok and I think it will be lots of fun so can’t hardly wait for that.

We are also having our Christmas Extravaganza on the 8th November. If anyone lives in the Gold Coast region and would like to come give the shop a call, details can be found on there website.

We have our Warana Retreat coming up in just 28 days time, yes 28 days. I can hardly wait for that, it should be heaps of fun as always.

Mel and Sara from Point Shoot Play are coming up on the Sunday to teach us a Digi Class, boy am I looking forward to that.

Unfortunately this retreat is fully booked now but if anyone wants to come along to the next one which is in May 2009 please contact me and let me know and I will put you on the waiting list.

We have so much fun at these retreats, they aren’t structured the same way as a normal retreat it is really more about getting away for the weekend and scrapping without interruption, or interruption from the kids and dh, that is and the best part is that they only cost about $130.00. We have girls flying in from all over the country for our retreats, that how much fun they really are.

Anyway, that is all from me today. Please leave me a cupcake if you drop by, it will be a nice change from getting a spam message. Although my blog has been so quiet that I’m not even getting spam *LOL*.

Have a great weekend everyone.
